The Model X presents a unique challenge: its Falcon Wing rear doors swing up and over the car instead of out, which makes loading the third row easier in tight spaces - but the door mechanism itself cuts into third-row headroom, and the seat configuration behind it directly trades off against cargo room. With the third row folded down, owners get roughly 37 cubic feet behind the second row; with the third row raised for passengers, that drops to around 15 cubic feet. In other words, most Model X owners are constantly switching the rear cabin between "people mode" and "cargo mode," and a floor liner that shifts, curls at the edges, or doesn't seat flush during that switch becomes a daily annoyance rather than a one-time complaint.

Injection molding
